For over 40 years Fairfield City Council has proudly provided a unique form of home-based child care known as 'Family Day Care', which provides a familiar, safe and secure learning environment. Each carer has a maximum of four children (0-5 yrs) in care. Current research shows us the importance of strong relationships with adults to a child’s early learning. Family Day Care’s small group environment helps create strong bonds and effective early learning and social development.
Family Day Care can offer care during working hours, evenings, before/after school, during school holidays and overnight and weekends. It provides education and care for children from babies to school age; allowing siblings to be cared for together by the same Educator.
We charge a $30.00 enrolment fee per child, you will be given a hat for your child at this time. Enrolments are carried out at the coordination unit at Greenfield Park.
All our Educators work under a deregulated fee system where, as service operators, they se their own fees according to the services provided. You may be able to claim Child Care Benefit (CCB) and/or Child Care Rebate (CCR) to reduce your daily fee. Please see the following link for further information about CCB and CCR www.humanservices.gov.au/customer/services/centrelink/child-care-rebate
