Resignation of Mayor Nick Lalich
 
Mayor Nick Lalich has announced his resignation as Mayor of Fairfield City, effective from midnight 21 March 2012. The Mayor said his time serving as Councillor and Mayor of Fairfield City has been rewarding and a great honour. 
“There is no greater honour that can be bestowed upon a person than to serve his fellow man, and I hope history will show I did this to the best of my ability,” he said.

Scheduled Service Interruption
 
Due to a system upgrade Fairfield City Council’s after hours telephone service will have a planned interruption from 5pm to 6pm today, Friday 10 February.
 
During this time calls made to 9725 0222 will receive a busy signal.
