Our Neighbourhood master classes

Ten local students participated in a one-week workshop with Andrew Stark. Local resident photographer Danny Huynh also made a guest appearance to talk about his experiences as a photographer.

The workshops explored the impact that culture has on the way we see and experience our neighbourhood. Andrew Stark gave guidance on technical considerations, such as how composition, angle of view, lighting and contrast can enhance a photograph.

You may download a guide to using Photoshop here.

Our Neighbourhood Exhibition

The Our Neighbourhood Photography competition coincides with the Our Neighbourhood Exhibition which seeks to engage the local community in celebrating the unique and culturally diverse neighbourhood of Fairfield. The project will see 15 participants between the ages of 12-18 years comment on their local environment and document their responses through the use of still photography,  video and audio.
