Fairfield City Museum and Gallery has two changing exhibition spaces, the Stein Gallery and the Community Space, as well as a Permanent Exhibition on Fairfield's history and a vintage village.

The Italian community of South West Sydney is one of the largest and longest established non English-speaking ethnic groups in New South Wales. Its history goes at least as far back as 1880s."
