Fairfield City Council seeks a Group Manager with strong leadership skills as well as superior analytical and communication abilities to lead this Group, which comprises the following Divisions –

  • Asset Management
  • Corporate Planning
  • Finance
  • Human Resources
  • Property Development Fund

Council is committed to maintaining its strong financial position while delivering a significant program of works  as identified in its Delivery Program, including the maintenance and renewal of its $1.8b of assets.

Fairfield City Council has a strong collaborative and progressive culture and this position is a real opportunity for the right candidate to take a major step forward in senior management.

Council has 6 Group Managers who work closely with the 2 Directors. The Group Managers, Directors and the City Manager form the Executive Leadership Team that is responsible for Council’s overall performance.

The Group Managers are required to maintain a whole of organisation focus while managing Divisional Managers of specific services and are accountable for ensuring the delivery of Council’s commitments in the Operational Plan.

Qualifications and extensive management experience in Finance, Asset Management or Governance are preferred for this position.
