Public Notices - Notice of Proposed Road Name - Johnston Crescent, Horsley Park

Council at its meeting held on 14/11/2017 resolved to propose the name of new a local road that was created through the re-development of 327-335 Burley Road, Horsley Park.

Johnston Crescent, Horsley Park Reason for Proposal:

An application for a new road name has been lodged with Council for the Horsley Park area. The new road to be named on the application is Johnston Crescent. Colonel George Johnston was the recipient of a significant grant of 2000 acres at Horsley Park. Colonel Johnston was a prominent figure in the turmoil of the colony's founding years, including involvement in quelling the Irish convict's rebellion of 1804. All interested persons are invited to make submissions concerning the proposal to the General Manager, Fairfield City Council, Post Office Box 21 Fairfield NSW 1860, within thirty (30) days of the date of this advertisement.
