- Council has resolved to exhibit an applicant initiated Planning Proposal and Site Specific DCP for 17-23 Longfield Street, Cabramatta. The proposal seeks to rezone the site from B5 Business Development to R4 High Density Residential.
What LEP changes are proposed?
The Planning Proposal aims to amend Fairfield Local Environmental Plan 2013 by rezoning the subject site from B5 Business Development to R4 High Density Residential with a maximum floor space ratio of 2:1 and a maximum height of building of 20 metres (6 storeys).
The proposal also seeks an additional permitted use of Indoor Recreation Facility (Gym) and to limit the site to a maximum of 160 square metres of neighbourhood shop / take away food and drink premises.
The proposal will also involve dedication of a pocket park and new roadway to Council.
What is the Site Specific DCP?
The Site Specific Development Control Plan seeks to provide developemnt guidance to the 4 hectare site to ensure that the development does not unreasonably impact adjoining properties and provides for a good urban outcome.
Will land owners and the community have a say?
The Planning Proposal, Site Specific DCP and supporting information will be on public exhibition from Wednesday 21 February 2018 until Friday 23 March 2018.
