National Tree Day

Sunday 31 July

National Tree Day

National Tree Day is an event where Australians come together and plant trees to enhance our natural environments.

This event also has the added benefit of reducing the greenhouse gasses within the Fairfield area.

This year we will be focusing on Fairfield Park, maintaining the health of the mature gum trees and increasing the habitat for local fauna such as possums, microbats and owls.

We aim to install 8000 plants that include canopy, mid-story and ground covers. Everyone is welcome to join in with this event.

A sausage sizzle lunch will be provided.
