Three men, who at various times took charge of the Male Orphan School in Bonnyrigg, have fascinating stories to tell.

Rev Robert Cartwright was the first minister at St Luke’s, as well as minister at St James’ Kings Street, Sydney.

James Busby is often referred to as the ‘father of the Australian wine industry'.

Richard Sadleir was the first mayor of Liverpool as well as being in Parliament and speaking knowledgably about the Aboriginal people.
