Spring Environmental Tour

All residents of the Fairfield Local Government area are invited to attend the Spring Environment Tour 2016.

Residents taking part in the Spring Environmental Tour.

The Spring Environment Tour is an annual event, which aims to inform interested people about significant areas of Fairfield City which are undergoing environmental restoration.

For this year‘s event, five sites will be visited. The tour provides an opportunity for stakeholders and land managers to increase their knowledge and awareness of local environmental issues.

Much of the environmental restoration work undertaken in Fairfield each year may go unnoticed. The tour provides an opportunity to see firsthand the results of numerous environmental projects Fairfield City Council and various volunteer community groups undertake. Our combined efforts aim to achieve environmentally sustainable land management practices in harmony with the urbanised landscape.

The bus will depart from Council's Administration Centre, at 86 Avoca Road, Wakeley at 8.30am. The tour will conclude about 12.30pm.

As some walking is required, you will need to bring a hat, sturdy and comfortable shoes, water, sunscreen and wet weather gear if rain is forecast. There will be a stop mid-morning with morning tea provided. Children under 15 years must be accompanied by an adult.
