Yogini Tara Choying Lhamo

Sunday 19 March

Yogini Tara Choying Lhamo

Many of us have experiences or the will to integrate a few minutes of meditation practice a day into our lives – but what is the potential of these practices when we isolate ourselves from urban life?

Yogini Tara Choying Lhamo’s amazing story must be shared.

Her life begins in Austria. Though her contemplative life began while practising under Western Dhamma in a Nepalean treat for 24 years. Twelve of those years was spent high in the mountains in Lapchi, in one of Milarepa’s caves (Milapera is one of the most well-known Tibet poet and yogi).

Her Tibetan name, Tara Choying Lhamo (which means “Goddess of Ultimate Right Female”), was given to her by her teachers – HH Chetsang Rinpoche and Garchen Rinpoche of the Drikung Kagyu lineage.

Tara had only begun speaking publicly in 2016 and people who were there to witness her presence were deeply moved, so moved they encouraged her to go worldwide.

She has agreed to come to Australia to share her special knowledge of retreat and the Dharma.

It is an honour to have the deeply inspiring Yogini offer her wisdom at our school, so please come and join us, to bask in the cultivation of her seeds and understand the ultimate goal of attaining stillness.
