Community Yoga class

Classes (1 hour) are from Monday to Thursday at 7pm and Saturday at 9:30am. Yoga for Beginners to Intermediate, first time beginners are welcome. Please bring your own yoga mat and Yoga strap.

One Night at the Museum: Who am I? is a FREE annual event that invites you to experience contemporary art at twilight with an exciting twist!

One Night at the Museum: Who am I? is a FREE annual event that invites you to experience contemporary art at twilight with an exciting twist! 

This year’s theme of 'Who Am I' explores notions of individuality, personal, social and cultural identity as well as the politics of identity in Western Sydney through artistic practices and performances.

The performance schedule is as follows:

  • 6.00pm - Drumming performance by ‘Healing Through Evan Yako’s Drumming’ Cabramatta High IEC 
  • 6.15pm - Films and shorts by Curiousworks and Made in the West 
  • 6.30pm - Performance by PYT Fairfield’s PILOTS Youth Ensemble 
  • 6.45pm - Read to Me Live Comic reading. Get involved with this half-hour comic performance and you could win an exciting prize!
  • 7.15pm - Installation Performance by Marian Abboud. See Marian & Susan Abboud + Maissa Alameddine perform LIVE
  • 7.30pm - Live acoustic performance by vocalist, musician, and creative performer, Sepora who specialises in all things dark and pop!

Throughout the evening you can also enjoy:

  • An Artwork Installation by Marion Abboud
  • Zinemaking and Screen Printing Workshops run by Carriza Teague and Phoenix Eye
  • Interactive polaroid photo-booth & DIY Badge Making
  • Extreme French Knitting with Artist in Residence, Linda Brescia 
  • Tweet to me 'Bear-Ometer of Positivity' installation by Edison Chen
  • Pop-Up Art Displays from Fairfield IEC Graduate students and Canley Vale High School Yr 7-11 students
  • Plus enjoy the current exhibitions on show: Sister + Sister + Sister + Sister (+Brother) + Sister by Marian Abboud, Foundation curated by Emily McDaniel and Word Evolution

Food will also be available on the night: Pizza slices by donation, free popcorn and a coffee van.

Have you ever wondered what creatures come out at night? Join a night walk along one of Fairfield’s creeks and use all of your senses to explore what Fairfield has to offer.
