Lunar New Year
Program and highlights
This year there will be a tranquil, Asian-inspired pop-up rainforest in Dutton Lane. Come and celebrate the chicken by learning fun facts and be charmed by the adorable nursery. Meet the fluffy, feathered friends on Saturday and Sunday from 9am-4pm.
Our main stage highlight this year is the magnificent Free Flight Bird Show. Be captivated by Australia’s beautiful bird species and watch as they fly over the heads of the audience. It is an amazing opportunity to get up close and personal with Boobook Owls, Nankeen Kestrel, Barn Owls and even Masked Owls!
Our stage will feature beautiful renditions of cultural performances by our Indonesian and Vietnamese dance groups, musical talents of students from our local high schools and a magical experience performed by The BlackTies magicians.
Here's an opportunity to sharpen your photographic skills with professional photographer Markus Andersen.
You can join Andersen to explore the beauty and energy of Cabramatta on a special street, documentary and FOOD photographic tour during Lunar New Year celebrations on Sunday 12 February 2017.
