Council's Library Service offers great resources for young people.
The Libraries provide free access to all kinds of books and media, free internet use and a safe study environment. They also run HSC lectures in June each year and can provide past exams, online tutoring and useful subject resources.

Youth Action is the peak community group working in the interests of young people and youth services in NSW. Youth Action strives to achieve social justice for young people, including the appropriate provision of services. The role of Youth Action is to:
- Monitor and respond to government policies and proposals affecting young people
- Promote and advocate issues affecting young people and youth services
- Bring young people and youth workers together to act on issues affecting them
- Work to raise a positive profile of young people in the media and community
- Provide training, forums and conferences to young people and youth workers
- Provide information and referral
- Produce a range of resources, publications and newsletters
Reach Out! is a web-based service that inspires young people to help themselves through tough times.
The aim of the service is to improve young people’s mental health and well-being by providing support information and referrals in a format that appeals to young people.
Reach Out! is an initiative of the Inspire Foundation.
Somazone is a website that was developed by young people for young people and is a program of the Australian Drug Foundation.
Somazone aims to empower young people to address their physical, emotional and social health needs in a non-judgmental and anonymous way. It offers visitors an anonymous and professional question and answer service that provides clear, unbiased, non-judgmental answers to any questions they may have about drugs, sex, sexual health, mental health issues, harassment/abuse, relationships, body image and eating disorders.
Somazone publishes personal stories, and provides useful information on a range of youth services.
headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation. It helps young people who are going through a tough time.
Looking for someone to talk to? If you're 12-25, you can get health advice, support and information from headspace. With more than 60 centres around Australia, headspace can help you with:
- General health
- Mental health and counselling
- Education, employment and other services
- Alcohol and other drug services.
The Shopfront Youth Legal Centre is a free legal service for homeless and disadvantaged young people aged 25 years and under. The Shopfront is a joint project of Mission Australia's Sydney City Mission, the Salvation Army and the law firm Freehills.
Shopfront is based in inner-city Sydney (356 Victoria Street, Darlinghurst), but can help people who live outside this area.
PYT holds contemporary, community-based arts and theatre projects for young people living in Western Sydney. PYT works primarily with young people (under 25 years) and professional artists. PYT enables young people to creatively engage the wider community with stories and experience unique to this region.
ICE (Information & Cultural Exchange) is a Western Sydney community arts organisation working in the areas of cultural development, screen culture and digital technology and related education/training programs.
