Council and Seniors

Fairfield City Council is a strong advocate of the positive contribution older people can make to the community. Extensive consultations for the Strategy on Ageing for Fairfield City shows that ÔÇťageing people present important opportunities for the City.

Council also recognises that an ageing population presents a range of challenges that need to be addressed. It has developed an Ageing Strategy to address these challenges  The strategy looks at how Council can maximise the positive aspects of ageing and the opportunities to promote healthy ageing, increase community participation, and prevent early deterioration of the elderly.
