Council hosts or is involved with a number of community committees.
Aboriginal Advisory Committee
Warin Tiati is Fairfield City's Aboriginal Advisory Committee. Quarterly meetings take place at Fairfield City Council Administration Centre, 86 Avoca Road, Wakeley. Aboriginal Advisory Committee members also participate and assist in organising various Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander events throughout the year such as NAIDOC Week and Reconciliation Week. Arts Advisory Committee

Community Drug Action Team
Provides up-to-date information and responds to local drug issues in association with the NSW State Government. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at Council's Administration Centre, Avoca Road, Wakeley. All are welcome. Fairfield Floodplain Management Committee
Provides a forum to ensure that floodplain management is an ongoing issue.
Fairfield Local Emergency Management Committee
Provides disaster and emergency planning within Fairfield City. For further information contact Council on 9725 0235.
Georges River Combined Councils Committee
Provides a forum with other member Councils to secure a better future for the waterways and corridors in the Georges River catchment.
Mayor's Crime Prevention Group
Provides a forum to discuss and identify community safety issues. The Group is chaired by the Mayor and meets quarterly.
Multicultural Advisory Committee
Provides a forum for culturally diverse community representatives to act as an advisory body to Council. Regular meetings take place at Fairfield City Council Administration Centre, Committee Rooms, 86 Avoca Road, Wakeley. Rural Fire Service Liaison Commitee
Provides advice on Rural Fire Safety matters. For further information contact Council on 9725 0235.
Sister City Committee
Provides a forum for coordinating initiatives and advising on Sister City relations.
Youth Advisory Committee
Provides a forum to young people to contribute to the decisions it makes about issues affecting young people. Monthly Youth Advisory Committee meetings take place between 5.30pm and 8pm on Wednesdays. More information
