Fairfield’s Fabulous Residents

Fabulous Fairfield winners for June 2015
Fabulous Fairfield winners for June 2015.

Council established the Fabulous Fairfield program as a way of thanking our residents who take the time and effort to help make our City beautiful.

Tonight we congratulate residents from Abbotsbury, Fairfield Heights, Horsley Park and Smithfield.

Winter has arrived and gardeners are busy pruning and mulching their gardens with garden waste. Trees and bushes are losing their leaves, leaving a pretty carpet on the footpaths of our City.

Gardens are still colourful and gardeners have been very busy as all gardens this month are immaculate. Their hard work is paying dividends. This makes choosing the winners of the Fabulous Fairfield awards for June very difficult.

Our local green-thumbs selected this month are all very dedicated gardeners.

I would like to congratulate the recipients of the June Fabulous Fairfield awards as the standard this month has been very high.

Tonight, our Fabulous Fairfield residents will receive a native plant grown by the Fairfield Community Native Plant Nursery volunteers. More than 190 different native plants are grown by this group of volunteers, who are based at our Nalawala Urban Sustainability Hub.

Councillors, would you please join me in congratulating tonight’s winners of the Fabulous Fairfield program.
