Fairfield’s Fabulous Residents

Council established the Fabulous Fairfield program as a way of thanking our residents who take the time and effort to help make our City beautiful.

Tonight we congratulate residents from Smithfield, Wetherill Park, Bonnyrigg, Canley Heights, Fairfield and Prairiewood.

The spring weather has been kind to our gardeners this month. Filling their gardens with colourful fragrant bouquets of flowers, luscious green lawns and flourishing vegetable patches.

Amongst this month’s winners is a dedicated gardener who spends at least 6 days a week tending her garden at her Canley Heights home of 48 years. All our residents tonight dedicate their time to beautifying their gardens by keeping their lawn neat and trim.

I would like to congratulate the recipients of the October Fabulous Fairfield awards as the standard this month has been very high.

Tonight, our Fabulous Fairfield residents will receive a native plant grown by the Fairfield Community Native Plant Nursery volunteers. More than 190 different native plants are grown by this group of volunteers, who are based at our Nalawala Urban Sustainability Hub.

Councillors, would you please join me in congratulating tonight’s winners of the Fabulous Fairfield program.
