Fabulous Fairfield June 2017
Council established the Fabulous Fairfield program as a way of thanking our residents who take the time and effort to help make our City beautiful.
Tonight we congratulate residents from Wakeley, Canley Heights, Smithfield, Bonnyrigg and Prairiewood.
The leaves are turning to brown and gold on our streets, leaving a colourful vista for everyone to enjoy. There were many gardens to choose from this month with residents keeping their gardens neat and attractive.
A resident from Bonnyrigg has transformed their garden into a rainforest with greenery and winding paths throughout. Our gardeners are also tending to their verges and planting additional trees to beautify our City.
I would like to congratulate the recipients of the June Fabulous Fairfield awards as the standard this month has been very high.
Tonight, our Fabulous Fairfield residents will receive a native plant grown by the Fairfield Community Native Plant Nursery volunteers. More than 190 different native plants are grown by this group of volunteers, who are based at our Nalawala Urban Sustainability Hub.
Councillors, would you please join me in congratulating tonight’s winners of the Fabulous Fairfield program.
