Why not also consider a family picnic in one of our beautiful parks, complete with playgrounds, barbeque facilities and more.
Aquatopia water park at Prairiewood Leisure Centre has a huge range of attractions and facilities that will excite people of all ages. It features an aqua tower with 79 unique elements, a giant tipping bucket and toddler’s interactive play area. Thrill seekers can enjoy the 10-metre high giant slides leading to a big splash down, as well as extra water rides. Cabanas are also available for party hire.

Cabravale Leisure Centre
The modern Cabravale Leisure Centre is located close to Canley Vale station and offers an array of facilities including a 20 metre heated indoor pool, sauna, multipurpose indoor aerobics room and gymnasium.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 6.30am-9pm; weekends, 7.30am-4.45pm

Calmsley Hill City Farm
At Calmsley Hill City Farm families can get up close to native and farmyard animals, witness daily shows including milking, stock whip demonstrations, sheep shearing, a koala talk and more. There is an onsite cafe and BBQ facilities for people to enjoy their own picnic in the beautiful grounds.

Fairfield City Museum & Gallery
The award-winning Fairfield City Museum & Gallery showcases the diverse cultural heritage of Fairfield City with an extensive program of exhibitions and activities catering for the whole community. Local artists host an array of fun arts and crafts activities for children of all abilities during school holidays.

Fairfield Park Precinct
The entire family can enjoy this unique recreation precinct, which includes Fairfield Obstacle Course, Fairfield Leisure Centre with indoor, outdoor pools and a mini aqua tower and Fairfield Youth & Community Centre with rockclimbing and trampolining facilities, which can be enjoyed for free on the first Sunday of each month. Families will also love Fairfield Adventure Park, which features an 11 metre high giant climbing net, sky bridge and three-slide combination, one of the tallest of its kind in Australia, and a 33 metre long double flying fox, as well as barbeques, picnic tables and beautiful shared walking and cycling paths along Orphan School Creek.

Fairfield Showground has hosted spectacular celebrations for decades, with annual events attracting more than 150,000 visitors. Since the seventies, the popular Saturday Fairfield Markets has been a shopper’s favourite, with close to 600 stalls selling everything from toys and clothes to fresh produce. The Showground is also home to Parklands Function Centre, Fairfield Golf Course, the Nalawala Sustainability Hub and Western Sydney Cycling Network. Aussie Night Markets hold regular food markets.

Sydney International Equestrian Centre
The Sydney International Equestrian Centre is a world-class venue set on 96 hectares of rural parkland and was purpose-built for the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The venue delivers international, national, state and club equestrian events, festivals, community, corporate, social, sporting events and much more. The venue also provides an attractive setting for film and television productions and photo shoots.

TreeTops Adventure Park
Experience the iconic Australian bush like never before at TreeTops Western Sydney. Get up-close and personal with native Australian wildlife and magnificent Gum trees as you climb, weave and fly through the tree tops on self-guided rope courses which feature more than 100 elevated obstacles including rope ladders, wobbly bridges, tunnels, cargo-nets and zip lines. Picnic and barbeque facilities are also available.
