Lunar New Year

Lunar New Year promotes harmonious community relations and is held in Cabramatta town centre in February or March. The cultural festivities feature the God of Fortune, Lion Dancing, loads of exciting entertainment and food for the whole family to enjoy.

Seniors Week

Fairfield City Council proudly celebrates Seniors Week each year with an array of free exciting events at wheelchair accessible venues, including the popular talent quest, a health expo and various art and craft classes.

Bring It On! Festival

Bring It On! Festival is a free music, sporting and arts festival that attracts thousands of people to Fairfield Showground in April each year. It is the biggest event of Fairfield City Council’s NSW Youth Week program. The festival showcases youth talent and culture, from performance to sports competitions, arts activities, skating, and games. This will be accompanied by rides, info stalls and interactive activities.

Cabramatta Moon Festival

Cabramatta Moon Festival is a massive South East Asian celebration linked to the equinox, which is the day of the year when daylight and darkness are equal in length. Council’s annual celebration takes over Cabramatta town centre with a lion dance and parade, beautiful costumes, live performances, rides, food and other stalls, fireworks and much more.

Culinary Carnivale 

Culinary Carnivale is Western Sydney's premier Spanish and Latin American food festival, part of The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Month. It is held in Fairfield city centre during October.

Illuminate

In participation with several community clubs, Council’s Illuminate New Year’s Eve celebrations provide the biggest fireworks display in South West Sydney. Council’s affordable family friendly event is held at Calmsley Hill City Farm and includes live performances, roving entertainment, amusement rides, art and craft activities, food stalls, animal attractions and more.
