Prairiewood Water Park

The centre piece of the new Water Park at Prairiewood Leisure Centre is the giant triple water slides.

The exciting third element will be 10 metres high, with each slide offering something different for patrons. One is designed for thrill seekers with a freefall tunnel at an angle of around 30 degrees. The second slide consists of a twisting tunnel. These slides are designed for teenagers and adults, while the third one is an open twisting slide which is catered to young children and provides a more comfortable water ride, it is also the longest slide at 83 metres in length.

This addition complements the other elements of the Water Park, which includes the Stingray surfing/skim boarding half pipe ride as well as the adventure aqua tower.

Council asked the community via Facebook to vote on five themes for the adventure aqua tower, with the no theme option having the most votes.

The Prairiewood Water Park has been designed as an affordable option for the families in Fairfield. It is expected to be completed mid-2016 in time for summer with some elements possibly delivered earlier.
