Hi 5 will perform at Illuminate 2017

Fairfield City Council has secured popular children’s entertainment group Hi-5 to headline its family New Year’s Eve event for 2017.

Hi-5 will burst onto the stage singing and dancing to crowd favourites, bringing plenty of excitement to Council’s family-focussed event.

Mayor of Fairfield City Frank Carbone said Council was excited to announce Hi-5 as the star attraction for Illuminate 2017.

“Having Hi-5 at our Illuminate festival is a great thrill for Council and will no doubt be a major crowd pleaser for families coming to the event,” he said.

“The group will bring their high-energy performances to the stage and keep fans of all ages entertained, adding something special to the best family friendly event in Sydney.”

“No doubt children and families will be singing and dancing to their favourite tunes and thoroughly enjoying the evening.”

Other highlights for Illuminate this year include amusement rides, farm animals, food stalls and other entertainment. A circus theme will also run through the event.

Illuminate is held at Calmsley Hill City Farm in Abbotsbury on 31 December from 4.30pm to 9.30pm.

A spectacular fireworks display will launch at 9pm in conjunction with fireworks at six other clubs around the City.

“Together this becomes the largest collective firework display in South West Sydney,” said Mayor Carbone.

“It also means that families can watch firework displays from a number of different locations in the City, including from their own back gardens.

Tickets to see Hi-5 at Illuminate will go on sale on Monday 20 November. Visit www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/illuminate for more details.
