Time and Memory on show

Fairfield City Museum & Gallery will soon host a new exhibition which reflects humanity’s relationship to time and memory.
On exhibition from 3 February to 31 March 2018, Tomorrows – Yesterdays, Yesterdays – Tomorrows will feature sculptural and photographic works produced by Western Sydney-based Spanish-Australian artist Miguel Olmo.
“Miguel Olmo’s Fairfield City Museum & Gallery exhibition explores concepts of time and memory,” Mayor of Fairfield City Frank Carbone said.
“Influenced by street art, local artist Miguel Olmo will delve further into his interest in brief moments, time and memory linked to past and present.”
“Miguel’s work, which will be exhibited until the end of March at Fairfield City Museum & Gallery, highlights the high calibre of artists who live and work in greater Western Sydney.”
“I encourage residents and visitors to come along to the exhibition launch on 3 February. Attendees will hear from guest speaker Cassandra Hard Lawrie, an independent curator, to discuss the concept matter of the exhibition and be treated to light refreshments.”
Mr Olmo uses a range of media in his artmaking, including video, photography, sound, sculpture and installation.
