NSW’s biggest Youth Week event, Bring It On! Festival, will return to Fairfield Showground on Sunday 15 April.

Fairfield City Council’s award-winning event is a major music, sports and arts festival for young people and attracts thousands of people from across Sydney.

Mayor of Fairfield City Frank Carbone said there were still opportunities for young people and organisations to get involved with the festival in various capacities.

“Council is now in the throes of finalising key details of this year’s exciting festival and we encourage those who are interested in volunteering, performing or becoming a community stallholder to get in touch with us through Council’s website,” Mayor Carbone said.

“Whether it’s for their career or personal growth, volunteering at Bring It On! Festival is a great opportunity for more than 100 young people to develop skills in sound production, photography, videography and youth leadership.”

“In 2017 we won a Local Government Youth Week Award for Best Ongoing Commitment to Youth Week, which shows Council’s ongoing dedication to delivering for our City’s young people with great events and opportunities.”

“Each year we aim to raise the bar of festival entertainment and we have an all-new major attraction planned to encourage crowds to get involved more than ever before.”

“I encourage young musicians, dance acts, artists and other acts to submit an expression of interest to get involved and showcase their talents. They may also be considered for a new event being held in Fairfield City Centre in April.”

All volunteers must be aged 14 to 24 on the day of Bring It On! Festival and live in the Fairfield local government area. Volunteers must also be able to attend an orientation session the week prior.
