Nick Jr.’s PAW Patrol Ready for Action Show will headline the stage performances at the Cabramatta Lunar New event at Freedom Plaza on March 03-04.

The addition of Nick Jr.’s PAW Patrol for the Year of the Dog celebrations assures a family-friendly program that will bring all the colour, fun and cultural ceremony locals have come to expect from this significant cultural event on the Fairfield City community calendar.

Mayor of Fairfield City Frank Carbone said Council is committed to creating family-friendly events such as Lunar New Year for both the community and for visitors from across Sydney.

"We’re expecting significant crowds from across Sydney again this year," Mayor Carbone said. "It’s a perfect way for locals to enjoy and Sydney visitors to taste the food and experience the fun and cultural feast that makes Cabramatta and Fairfield City great.

"Cabramatta will have family friendly entertainment over the whole weekend to welcome in the Year of the Dog. The cultural festivities will include the God of Fortune, Lion Dancing, firecrackers, traditional performers and loads of exciting entertainment for the whole family.

Other popular children’s activities include the dynamic martial arts demonstrations and the children’s chopstick challenge at 1.30pm on both days. There’ll be the ever-popular face painting, carnival games and craft activities at Freedom Plaza.

Nick Jr.’s PAW Patrol will perform at 12 and 2pm both days, with a meet and greet with the characters at 1pm.

The official ceremony by Mayor of Fairfield City Frank Carbone will be at 11am on Saturday 03 March. On Sunday 04 March, the traditional blessing of Fairfield City and the Cabramatta community will take place from 10am.
