Fairfield City residents are being encouraged to dust off their bikes and get ready to ride the bridge at the Spring Cycle event on October 16.

It is the only day of the year that Roads and Maritime Services opens the bridge to cyclists only.

Riders of all capabilities and ages over eight can take part with three different courses to choose from:

  1. The family friendly City Challenge 12km ride,
  2. The mid-weight 50km Classic Ride, and
  3. The 102km Bikebug Challenge for more experienced riders.

Bicycle NSW stages the event with Roads and Maritime as main sponsor. All three rides start at St Leonards Park in North Sydney. The 12km ride ends at Pirrama Park at Pyrmont and the other two finish at Cathy Freeman Park, Sydney Olympic Park.

Both finish locations will feature entertainment and catering to make it a great day out with work colleagues, family and friends.

The Spring Cycle website has all the information you need to choose your course and register: http://springcycle.com.au

See you on the bridge!
