Help at hand on how to vote

Published Wednesday, 1st June 2016

Fairfield LGA has been identified as having a major problem with informal votes.

Council wants our residents’ votes to be counted, so Fairfield Open Libraries will be presenting a series of talks on voting – how to be a voter, how to vote and what happens on election day.

Included will be a description on the new rules for voting for the Senate.

The sessions will be in English and various community languages and are free.

Fairfield City Open Libraries, on behalf of the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC), will present talks in English, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish and Vietnamese.
