Shoppers and visitors in the Cabramatta town centre will have access to an additional 275 new parking spaces from Wednesday as the Dutton Lane car park officially opens its doors.

Mayor of Fairfield City Council Frank Carbone said the Dutton Lane car park was a great new asset for the community.

“The multi-storey car park provides 880 spaces overall in the Dutton Lane car park for use by shoppers,” Mayor Carbone said. “Existing parking within the vicinity of the town centre will increase to 3,293 spaces.”

The car park is part of a wider redevelopment that delivers a dramatic improvement to the urban streetscape of Cabramatta, delivering new jobs and office space as well as public amenities, public open space and new community facilities within the town centre.

Dutton Lane car park operations have been improved with the installation of additional entry and exit points and a car parking guidance system.

“The Dutton Lane car park is an exciting addition to the centre of Cabramatta, the likes of which has not been seen since the existing multi-storey parking station was opened in 1988,” Mayor Carbone said.

“This is all part of Council’s commitment to deliver more parking to the residents of Fairfield City to meet the needs and growth of our community

Funded and owned by Council, the new car park’s income will be invested back into community projects to keep making Fairfield City a great place to live.
