TIMOMATIC to headline Cabramatta Moon Festival 2016

Dancing and singing superstar TIMOMATIC will headline Fairfield City Council’s 2016 Cabramatta Moon Festival on Sunday 04 September 2016
The festival, one of Sydney’s largest and brightest authentic South East Asian cultural celebrations, continues to draw in some of Australia’s best talent.
Mayor of Fairfield City Frank Carbone said TIMOMATIC will “Set It Off” with his hits and electrify the crowds with a high energy show.
“It is with great excitement that I announce TIMOMATIC as this year’s headline act and, no doubt, audiences will be wowed when he takes the stage and performs some of his chart topping hits like ‘Parachute’ and ‘Waterfalls’,” Mayor Carbone said.
TIMOMATIC, whose real name is Tim Omaji, is a Nigerian-born Australian singer, songwriter and dancer who first gained recognition on Australia’s popular television programs ”So you think you can dance” and “Australia’s Got Talent”.
Since his television debut, TIMOMATIC has continued to shine, releasing single hits including “Set It Off”, “Parachute”, and “Waterfalls”. In addition, he has supported international acts such as Flo Rida, Niki Minaj and Jessie J.
“Fairfield Council is also running a competition for six lucky winners to have the chance to meet TIMOMATIC with a backstage pass,” Mayor Carbone said.
“All you have to do is like the ‘Cabramatta-Taste of Asia’ Facebook page and tell us in 25 words or less why you would like to meet TIMOMATIC.”
The fantastic entertainment at this year’s Moon Festival will also include special performances from Korean pop sensation Prince Mak.
“Prince Mak is an international star who grew up in Casula and hit the Korean pop scene in a big way as part of the popular boy band JJCC,” Mayor Carbone said.
“He is another fantastic example of home grown Aussie talent and we are delighted to have him perform at the 2016 Cabramatta Moon Festival.”
Other entertainment highlights include meeting your Avengers superhero – Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, or the Hulk.
Cabramatta Moon Festival is recognised as one of Sydney’s largest and brightest Asian cultural celebrations, attracting more than 90,000 people from across Sydney and NSW each year.
Entry is free. Transport to the festival is available by boarding a train to Cabramatta train station Cabramatta Station falls on the T3 Bankstown, T5 Cumberland and T2 Inner west and south lines and is a 45-minute journey from Central train station. Take advantage of the public transport for easy access to the festival door at Cabramatta Town Centre.
For Fairfield City residents, there will be free shuttle services running to Cabramatta throughout the day.
