Aquatopia open for free during heatwave

Published Wednesday, 14th December 2016

The City’s newest attraction, Aquatopia, will open outside of its regular summer season so families can keep cool.

In response to record heat temperatures, Mayor of Fairfield City Frank Carbone said the water park at Prairiewood Leisure Centre would open today, Wednesday 14 December 2016, from 3pm to 6pm at no cost to the community; however, entry to the pool would still apply.

“As a gesture of goodwill, Council has decided to open Aquatopia for an afternoon with free entry to provide the community with an opportunity to cool off during these extreme heat conditions,” Mayor Carbone said.

The water park will reopen for its regular season from Saturday 17 December 2016 until Sunday 29 January 2017 between 10.30am until 5pm.

Prices start at $14 for individuals, with a family pass for $45 for two adults and two children for Fairfield City residents.
