Have your say about Council’s works program

Fairfield City Council is keen to hear from residents about planned upgrade works for roads, footpaths and kerbs and gutters.
Mayor of Fairfield City Frank Carbone urged residents to see if their street was included in the four-year program.
“Council has a comprehensive program to upgrade local roads, footpaths and kerbs and gutters over the next four years,” Mayor Carbone said.
“If residents believe their road, kerb and gutter, and/or footpath is of a poor standard and needs attention they can check the program on Council’s website to see if it is already scheduled to be upgraded. If it isn’t on the list, let us know.”
Upgrades are based on condition ratings of “poor” and “very poor”, as specified and explained on the website.
Residents should visit www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/worksprogram to view examples of the condition ratings and download copies of the works programs to check if their street is included.
Works programs are also reviewed each year to take into account impacts of weather and any unexpected events.
More details are available on Council’s website. Submissions will be accepted until the close of business on Friday 3 March 2017.
