Fairfield City Museum and Gallery will celebrate two of Fairfield City’s largest communities at upcoming cultural events.

Linked to current exhibition, A Home Away From Home: Exploring Fairfield City’s Multicultural Clubs, the free events recognise the contribution that Italian and Assyrian communities have made not only to the preservation of language and culture of local communities, but more broadly to the collective memory and history of local, state and national narratives.

Visitors at each event will enjoy live traditional music, performances and talks. The Italian event, held on 29 April, will include wood-fired pizza and pasta, while the Assyrian event, held on 20 May, will have cooking demonstrations and traditional sweets.
