Do you have a passion for high quality early childhood education? Would you like to work flexible hours/days and earn an income from your own home?
If you answered yes, you might be interested in becoming a Family Day Care Educator with Fairfield City Council.
Opportunities exist to join our team of professional family day care educators and make a lasting difference to the lives of children and families.
Fairfield City Family Day Care is a home-based, quality early education and care service with self-employed educators providing high-quality care and education in their home to children up to 13 years of age.
Our growing list of children requiring care means more educators are needed to join the scheme, so if you have a passion for working with children and would like the opportunity to start your own Family Day Care business from home, we would love you to join our team of professional educators.
The Fairfield City Family Day Care Coordination Unit provides educators with support for all aspects of running a family day care business. You can build on our experience with training and proven policies regarding safety, hygiene, enrolments, payments and CCB/CCR and marketing.
Our Child Development Officers regularly visit your premises and provide friendly support and advice while also ensuring compliance with Government regulations, providing peace of mind to educators and families.
To be registered as an educator with Fairfield City Family Day Care, you will need:
- a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (minimum).
- first aid certificate
- a current Working with Children Check number
- public liability insurance
- participate in home safety inspection
- willingness to ensure your home and garden meet WH&S regulations and standards
- willingness to obtain proper, working equipment for education and play.
