Fairfield City Open Libraries will host The Art of #ThePerfectSelfie workshop on Saturday 8 July, 12:30pm-4:30pm at Whitlam Library Cabramatta.
This photographic workshop is designed to teach participants how to improve their online branding with better selfie photos as well as learning the best techniques to share their photos using social media.
Mayor Fairfield City, Frank Carbone, said the course will cover technical basics including manipulating images and filters, composition and framing and the best times of day to post.
“The workshop is open to anyone with an interest in street photography and storytelling from all ages.
“The class will have the opportunity to take to the streets of Cabramatta and seek out the perfect background for their perfect selfie.
The class also allows for discussion of the photos and the story it tells. Students will then proceed to upload a series of their best photos to their preferred social media account, and discuss the techniques to display them in order to #ThePerfectSelfie.
For more information on the #ThePerfectSelfie workshop, visit Council’s website or phone the Fairfield City Open Libraries on 9725 0333. Places are limited to 14 people.
“This workshop compliments Council’s inaugural photography competition #CaptureFairfield to encourage residents to get out and about the Cabramatta Town Centre taking great shots.
