National Day of Play showcasing Fairfield Adventure Park

Published Thursday, 16th April 2015

The new Fairfield Adventure Park – one of Australia’s jaw dropping playgrounds – will be the highlight of KOMPAN’s National Day of Play on Friday 17 April.

KOMPAN is the world’s number one supplier of playground equipment.

The premier playground industry event involves council planners and architects as well as landscape architects and education personnel from across Australia discuss key issues in the field as well as visit leading playgrounds.

The signature piece of the Adventure Park is an 11m high giant climbing net, slides and sky bridge combination, which is also the tallest of its kind in Australia.

The Park was officially opened Friday 10 April where over 400 people attended the launch.

It is situated next to the existing Fairfield Leisure Centre and the soon to be complete Fairfield Youth and Community Centre. The area is also surrounded by plenty of sporting fields and natural parklands. This all comes together to form a large recreation precinct, perfect for a family day out and just a ten minute walk from Fairfield station and CBD.

What: Mayor of Fairfield City, Frank Carbone will speak about the Adventure Park and cut the ribbon for the conference launch. Team 9Lives will do a parkour demonstration using the equipment of the Adventure Park.

When: Friday 17 April 2015, 1.45-2pm
