Families can now secure their place at Illuminate, Fairfield City Council’s inaugural New Year’s Eve celebration at Calmsley Hill City Farm from 4–9pm on 31 December 2015.

Mayor of Fairfield City, Frank Carbone, encouraged families to book their tickets early for the event at Calmsley Hill City Farm to avoid disappointment.

“We have already received outstanding community interest in this event and I am pleased to say that residents can now visit www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/illuminate to secure their place,” Mayor Carbone said.

“The event is free to attend and will be a fun-filled family experience packed with entertainment including amusement rides, children’s craft activities, roaming performers, food stalls and a stage featuring live music,” Mayor Carbone said.

“In addition to this, families will be able to enjoy all the activities the farm is famous for, including animal exhibits, tractor rides and stock whip demonstrations.

“Council’s Calmsley Hill City Farm event is perfect for families who want to participate in a fun celebration without the hassle of travelling outside of Fairfield City. Bring along a picnic blanket and settle in for an enjoyable family evening, which will end with fireworks at 9pm.

Calmsley Hill City Farm is just one of 11 different sites across the City that will launch fireworks simultaneously at 9pm as part of Council’s Illuminate event.

“For those families who choose to celebrate New Year’s Eve at home - we are bringing the celebrations to you. Many residents will be able to view some spectacular fireworks from their very own backyard, with the 11 sites spread across the LGA.

Illuminate fireworks will be launched from:

  • Calmsley Hill City Farm (Council’s live event site)
  • St Johns Park Bowling Club
  • Mount Pritchard and District Community Club
  • Cabramatta Rugby Leagues Club
  • Fairfield RSL
