Due to ongoing high demand for COVID-19 testing in our community, another drive-through testing clinic has been opened in the Fisher Street car park in Cabramatta.

NSW Health made a request to Council for a site for a drive-through clinic in an easily accessible location in Cabramatta to continue testing in our area. Fisher Street car park was identified as the best option.

Council has accommodated their request and has decided to close the carpark to visitors while the COVID-19 testing clinic is in place for everyone’s peace of mind.

The clinic will run from today until Sunday, 2 August, 8am to 7pm.

Drivers are instructed to follow directions of staff at the grounds, and present their licence and Medicare card. They will be tested without having to leave their car. Anyone in the vehicle can be tested, including children.

No referral is required for the FREE test.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone welcomed the additional testing in the City.

“This is a good opportunity to have another convenient testing location to continue testing in our area, and ensure the virus is identified and contained,” Mayor Carbone said.

“More than 10,000 people have been tested just over the past week and I would like to thank the people of Fairfield City for taking the call to get tested seriously. Now more than ever it is crucial that we remain vigilant, so we can stop the spread of the virus.”

This clinic is in addition to the other testing clinics being run in our City today, including:

  • Fairfield Showground (drive through) - 9am-5.30pm
  • Fairfield Hospital (walk in) – daily from 8am-6pm
