Fairfield City Council’s Mayor’s Christmas Appeal is on again – to help make Christmas a bit brighter for families and individuals experiencing hardship – and Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone is encouraging the community to give what they can, however big or small.

“The past couple of years have been a testing time for many families, and the need for support is greater than ever,” Mayor Carbone said.

“Christmas is a time of giving, by donating to the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal you are contributing to making Christmas a positive experience for families and individuals in need.

“We believe a kind gesture can go a long way, and I encourage you to donate to our Appeal and make this a memorable and meaningful Christmas for everyone.”

Donations can include non-perishable food items or new and unwrapped toys, and can be dropped off at any of the following Fairfield City Open Libraries branches until 16 December 2022:

Bonnyrigg, Fairfield, Wetherill Park and Whitlam Cabramatta libraries.

This year Council is also partnering with Woolworths Ltd to provide additional donation drop off points at the following Woolworths store locations:

Bonnyrigg, Cabramatta, Cecil Hills, Fairfield, Fairfield Heights, Green Valley, Greystanes, Pemulwuy, Toongabbie, Wentworthville and Wetherill Park.

Council will work with non-government organisations and charities to package and distribute the donations to families and individuals in need in time for Christmas.
