Janice Crosio Early Learning Centre staff with their award

Fairfield City Council’s Janice Crosio Early Learning Centre at Bossley Park has been recognised with a 2020 Fairfield City Local Business Award.

The centre won the Early Childhood Centre category of this year’s awards held at Monday night’s gala awards evening.

The centre was one of five Council-run early learning and care services and four private centres that were finalists in the Early Childhood Centre category at this year’s awards.

The win tops off a very successful year for the centre, which recently completed Assessment and Rating against the seven National Quality Standards and was rated as ‘Exceeding National Quality Standard’.

Four of Council's other centres - Wakeley Early Learning Centre, Bossley Park Preschool, St Johns Park Early Learning Centre and Malborough Street Preschool - were also finalists.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone said he is incredibly proud of the Janice Crosio Early Learning Centre and all of Council’s early learning and care services.

“Council’s early learning centres provide affordable, high quality care and education for our City’s children, allowing parents to work or study while providing the best possible start to their child’s education,” Mayor Carbone said.

“Our early learning staff always do an amazing job, especially with the added challenges of COVID-19.

“Congratulations to the staff at Janice Crosio Early Learning Centre on their well-deserved award.”

Council has close to 3,000 places a week at our Children’s Services, including:
