When it comes to finding the best school holiday activities, Council has you covered.

Keep the kids entertained with an exciting range of activities from 26 September to 7 October 2022 at Dutton Plaza Cabramatta, Fairfield City Open Libraries branches, Fairfield City Museum & Gallery, Fairfield Youth and Community Centre and Fairfield City Leisure Centres. There is lots happening for children and young people to burn their energy, continue learning, and keep up their creativity during the school break.

Fairfield City Mayor Frank Carbone is encouraging parents and carers to take advantage of what’s on offer.

“Council is delivering a wide range of fun and interesting activities and workshops to keep children active in mind and body,” Mayor Carbone said.

“There is an activity for every child spanning across our sites. Register now to avoid disappointment.”

Registrations are essential for most activities and details can be found below. Places may be capped so register early.

Robogals: Introduction to Arduino

Ages: 13-16 years

Join Robogals UNSW in this exciting workshop exploring the world of electronics and micro-controllers. Learn about the basics of circuitry and coding of an Arduino in this hands-on workshop.

VR Experience

Ages: 12+ years

VR Experience is a drop-in gaming session that gives you the opportunity to try out the immersive gaming experience of Virtual Reality. With exciting games including Beat Saber, Fruit Ninja VR, Spider-Man, and Nature Experience, we have plenty of games on offer to cater to a wide range of age groups and interests.

HSC Mock Exams

Ages: Year 11 & 12 school students

Fairfield City Open Libraries is holding a mock exam to replicate what to expect in exam like situations to help you prepare for the final HSC exams.

Students are encouraged to use this great opportunity to evaluate their allocation of time in an exam like situation. Please bring along authorised materials (eg calculator) and if preferred a chosen past practice exam.

Mindful Qigong Sessions

Fairfield City Leisure Centres

Active Kids School Holiday Program

Fairfield Leisure Centre and Fairfield Youth and Community Centre

55 Vine Street, Fairfield

Children aged 5-12 years will have a blast at the Active Kids School Holiday program held between 26-30 September and 4-7 October. Sessions run from 8am-4pm daily and incorporate a variety of physical activities to allow children to learn new skills, make friends, improve their confidence and stay active. Prices are $55 per child, per day.

 

Learn to Swim Holiday Program

Private lessons and intensive class programs are available from 26-30 September and 4-7 October at Cabravale, Fairfield and Prairiewood leisure centres. Classes are $82.50 per 5-day week; $66 per 4-day week and $32 per private lesson.
