Notice of proposed road name in Wetherill Park

Reason for Proposal: To provide a name to a recently formed road. The proposed name is “Moriarty Close”. The name honours Edward Orpen Moriarty, a 19th century civil engineer, who undertook many important projects in Australia including the Upper Nepean Water Supply of which the canal in the top left of the below diagram is one part.

All interested persons are invited to make submissions concerning the proposal to the General Manager, Fairfield City Council, Post Office Box 21 Fairfield NSW 1860 or to Email: mail@fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au within twenty eight (28) days of the date of this advertisement. Once the submission period is completed, Fairfield City Council will consider all duly made submissions before deciding whether to continue with the proposed road naming.
