At its meeting held on 24 February 2026, Council resolved to adopt the Fairfield City Wide Development Control Plan (FCW DCP) 2024 – Amendment 2. The amended plan will come into effect on Monday, 9 March 2026. A copy of the Council report can be viewed via the link below:
This public notice of the Fairfield City Wide Development Control Plan (FCW DCP) 2024 – Amendment 2 identifies the date on which it will come into effect (9 March 2026) in accordance with the requirements of the Environmental Plan and Assessment Regulation 2021.
Upon the commencement of the Fairfield City Wide Development Control Plan (FCW DCP) 2024 – Amendment 2 the following development control plan will be amended:
FCW DCP Amendment No.2 will implement changes to address various matters in the existing development control plan. The updates ensure that the development controls provide clear direction to all stakeholders in relation to waste and recycling servicing across all development, which is particularly important give the introduction of Food Organics Garden Organics (FOGO) waste bins. A number of other relatively minor amendments were made to reflect ongoing changes in development and environmental standards, ensuring the document remains current and user-friendly for both proponents and assessment officers.
