Our Special Services

You may be eligible for free Home Library Service if you live in the Fairfield area and are unable to visit a library due to:

• Frailty
• Long term illness
• Disability
• You do not have anyone to visit on your behalf

People with short term incapacity may also be eligible. 

Books, audiobooks and other library resources are selected for you, and delivered to and collected from your home or your retirement village on a monthly basis.

This service offers free delivery of library resources to new parents/carers and babies that live in the Fairfield Local Government Area who may find it difficult to visit the libraries. 

You and your newborn will have access to the library collection, including:

• Audiobooks
• DVDS
• Books including large prints
• Community languages materials: Arabic, Assyrian, Chinese, Thai, Serbian, Polish, Russian and Vietnamese
• Plus so much more!

This service is available for babies from 0-6 months old and parents/carers and delivery will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays once a month.

Whitlam Library - Service ends Tuesday 23 December 2025 and returns Wednesday 7 January 2026
