What is the Moon Festival?

Moon Festival is a traditional Southeast Asian harvest celebration, held on the full moon in Autumn every year. Ancient cultures believed that the movement of the moon had a close relationship with the changes of the seasons and with agricultural production. The Moon Festival was born from the moon and the celebration of the harvest combined.

Each Southeast Asian culture has its own unique legend for the Moon Festival, which has been passed down from generation to generation for thousands of years.
