Getting to Cabramatta

Cabramatta is accessible by train, bus and car, but you should plan your trip in advance because there will be road closures during the Cabramatta Moon Festival.

By Train

The Cabramatta Moon Festival will be held on John Street in Cabramatta CBD and the closest train station is Cabramatta, which is accessible on the T2 Inner West & Leppington Line, T3 Bankstown Line or T5 Cumberland Line. 

From Central Station, your journey will take between 50 minutes-1 hour. Alight at Cabramatta train station and take the Railway parade exit.

Plenty of train services will run to get you there and home again. Visit transportnsw.info for all the details you need to plan your trip.

By Bus

Bus interchange and Taxi Rank will be temporarily relocated to Railway Parade between McBurney Road and Hughes Street - adjacent to Woolworths and Whitlam Library.

Fairfield City Council’s Cabramatta Moon Festival will have a FREE shuttle bus service operating on Sunday from 9am to 9pm. You can park your car in Canley Vale or Canley Heights and look out for the Cabramatta Moon Festival Free Shuttle Bus service to hop on and off and beat the crowd.

Members of the public are encouraged to use Council's car parks in Canley Heights and Canley Vale and catch the free shuttle bus into Cabramatta.

By Car - For freeway drivers from the City

Take Parramatta Road, then the M4, left on to the Cumberland Hwy exit and follow the signs
OR
Take the Eastern Distributor on to the M5 all the way to Casula, then right on to the Hume Hwy
OR
Brave the Hume Hwy all the way to Lansvale and turn right on to Cabramatta Road

Parking

There will be limited parking available in car parks and street parking around Cabramatta.

  • Dutton Plaza Car Park
  • Hill Street Public Car Park
  • John Street/ Hill Street Car Park
  • Cabramatta Plaza Car Park
  • Fisher Street Car Park
  • Cumberland Car Park

We recommend parking at Warwick Farm Commuter Car Park and catching the train to Cabramatta Station which is a 3-minute train ride.

Bike Parking

The Cabramatta Moon Festival can be reached by bike, there are bike racks located in Dutton Plaza Car Parknear the Dutton Lane East entrance and on Railway Parade.


Exclusion zones and road closures

Event road closures will be effective during Cabramatta Moon Festival from Friday 15 September until 4am Monday 18 September 2023. 

With many parking restrictions and major roads closed, we encourage you to leave your car at home and catch public transport or park in Council's car parks in Canley Heights and Canley Vale and catch the free shuttle bus into Cabramatta.

Major roads closed:

  • Arthur Street Car Park, and Denton Lane.
  • John Street, Cabramatta Road West, Park Road, Arthur Street and Hughes Street Car Park.
  • Dutton Lane and Railway Parade.
