Council has been successful in obtaining funding under Local Roads Package of Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan for the installation of a roundabout at the intersection of Humphries Road and Newleaf Parade, Bonnyrigg. The proposed roundabout will improve the movement and safety of vehicles at the intersection for the growing population. There will be a loss of sixteen on-street parking spaces as part of this proposal, seven spaces from the southern side of Humphries Road and six from the north along with two parking spaces from the eastern side of Newleaf Parade and one space from the west. The reason for the loss of parking is to facilitate the swept path of vehicles including service vehicles such as garbage /small delivery type vehicles.
Fairfield City Council is now consulting with affected residents and relevant authorities before finalising the design and approving the works. Any concerns and comments regarding the proposal will be considered and amendments made to the design as appropriate. If you wish to make a submission please email your comments to trafficandtransport@fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au or mail them to Council at PO Box 21, Fairfield NSW 1860 by Friday, 17 March 2023. Please include your street address and survey reference number 16/13603 in any reply you provide.
