Experience Aquatopia's Twilight sessions

With the hot weather lately, there is no better way to spend quality time with family than at Fairfield City Council's Aquatopia.

The City's fantastic waterpark is holding twilight sessions for the next two Fridays and Saturdays between 5.30pm and 8.30pm.

I encourage you to come and cool off at Aquatopia at Prairiewood during summer's balmy evenings.

I'm ecstatic with Aquatopia's success, which has surpassed all expectations. Council is proud to provide this facility for our community. About 30,000 people have already visited the park, making it one of the most successful and affordable family friendly attractions in Western Sydney.

Each part of Aquatopia has been highly successful.

Council designed the waterpark to have something for all ages. The Aqua Tower, toddlers' pool, giant slides and picnic areas appeal to all members of the family from babies, young children, youth and adults.

Aquatopia is also open on Saturday and Sundays during the day from 10.30am to 5pm.

Council designed Aquatopia with Fairfield families in mind. It's an affordable place for people of all ages and ability to come together, get active and get healthy.

Council also looks forward to opening Stage 2, which includes the Stingray Surf Ride in the next few months. The first of its kind in Australia, the Stingray will boost the Aquatopia experience for local families.

Enjoying Aquatopia.

Lunar New Year a hit

Cabramatta was particularly vibrant last weekend as we marked Lunar New Year with festive celebrations over two days.

It was a great event and I met many families enjoying the fantastic line-up of entertainment and activities including the God of Fortune handing out lucky red envelopes, fun contests such as the one handed prawn peeling challenge, interactive art and craft stalls, baby animal farm and magicians.

Being the Year of the Rooster we also had a bird show which included a chicken display where people could pat baby chickens and find out fun facts.

The Cabramatta Lunar New Year is an important cultural time for Fairfield City residents and the wider Sydney community. Fairfield City Council is proud of the City's unique diversity and we look forward to bringing you next year's Lunar New Year festival.
