Ready for Youth Week? Bring It On!

It is with great pleasure that I can confirm Fairfield City Council's free Youth Week event, Bring It On! Festival, will return to Fairfield Showground on Sunday 9 April, 10.30am-7.30pm.

Council works closely with our Youth Advisory Committee to organise the largest Youth Week event in NSW and this year's festival will be our biggest and best event to date.

There will be non-stop entertainment that celebrates youth culture, with big-name performers, carnival rides, delicious food, and a youth services precinct.

Council has worked hard to bring festival goers the best youth talent from across Australia and I'm pleased to announce our main performers are In Stereo, Vlado Saric and the Fisher Boys will delight fans of all ages, while DJ Mashd N Kutcher will keep the crowd moving at the evening Dance Party.

Enjoy spectacular cultural performances, bounce around on trampolines, test out our Eastern Creek race car simulator or get involved in sports, yard games or pony rides. There's face painting for kids, a robot display, and a dance competition judged by some of Sydney's dance elite. To top it off, there will be plenty of giveaways and other great prizes.

Free all-day shuttle bus transport will operate from Cabramatta, Canley Vale and Fairfield train stations. Bring It On! Festival is an all ages, drug and alcohol-free event.

Details about Bring It On! Festival can be found at www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au/bringiton, or on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram at @BringItOnFest.

Seniors Week

Our City celebrates not only youth culture, but also people of all ages, including our seniors and the young at heart.

Seniors Week will run from Friday 3 March - Sunday 12 March and recognises the important contribution older people make to our community.

Council will host a Seniors Week Expo and Talent Quest at Club Marconi on 9 March, 10am-2pm, with performances from singers, musicians, dancers and cultural groups aged 55 or over. The expo will showcase seniors programs and services in the community.
Various programs are being held at Council facilities to celebrate Seniors Week. Visit www.fairfieldcity.nsw.gov.au for more information.
