Culinary delights at Carnivale

Our City is very diverse and Council celebrates and showcases that diversity with many activities and big events throughout the year.

This Saturday Council brings the vibrant street party Culinary Carnivale to Fairfield City Centre to celebrate our strong local Latin American and Spanish-speaking community.
Culinary Carnivale has something for everyone. It’s a perfect opportunity to get out and about and have a fantastic and affordable day out with the family.
We have also brought one of Australia’s best singers to Culinary Carnivale, the brilliant Christine Anu.
This year’s event will be bigger and better than ever. I encourage everyone of all ages and backgrounds to come down and enjoy the energetic and colourful free family entertainment and jump on the free amusement rides.
You can also take in the smells and taste the fabulous food fare of Latin America. Always popular is the amazing 10-metre long barbeque where you can enjoy beef and pork choripan and ribs.
There will be a mouth-watering range of other treats, too, such as seafood paella, empanadas and famous South American sweets.
Entry and entertainment for Culinary Carnivale is free and I’d like to thank our sponsors for helping to make this great community event possible.
Culinary Carnivale is on Saturday 21 October in Spencer and Ware streets Fairfield. It starts at 11am and runs until 4pm.
